Yup! That's me and my favorite cabbage patch doll. (It was a long time ago.) That's the year I memorized my first poem, "The Swing", by Robert Louis Stevenson and fell in love with words.
I'm a Child Care Manager by day and a Children's Writer by night. I love, love, love to read! My favorite genres are Dystopian and Paranormal YA, Fantasy & Science Fiction. I also enjoy beautifully written and illustrated picture books. I love watching children appreciate the joys of reading -- Babies with their first board books, five year olds giggling at a picture book, and older children, eyebrows furrowed as they read an engaging novel. Oh, and I love sushi, singing, and dark chocolate!
